All relationships are a learning experience. No person or relationship is right or wrong. If it doesn’t work out then there was a lesson that had to be learnt through that relationship... from that person.
Or perhaps something was meant to be created from that relationship such as children or knowledge. If you have recently gone through a breakup then you might want to ask yourself the following questions:
What lessons did I learn from this person?
What good things happened to me because of this relationship?
What gifts have I been received through of this relationship? (i.e. children, knowledge, financial, friendship)
In what ways have I grown?
What will I look for next time when entering a relationship?
Sometimes we don’t learn the lessons that we were meant to in a relationship and as a result of this we continue to enter relationships with the same kinds of men and experience the same types of hardships. This is okay.
Often we need to experience the same lesson a number of times before finally learning from it. However it is important remember to always look after yourself and put your safety first. No one should be in a relationship with a partner who is abusive. Don’t be afraid to reach out and ask for help.
